This and that

Deeds i have done, acts i have committed that i know have changed my life greatly. Ever had the feeling where you did somthing and you see a chain reaction and it happens so fast that you cant stop it or control it? Something like falling dominoes? Well i have, and many many times to tell you the truth. After each act i can only wonder what would happen, what would the result be and what shit i would get myself into. It all boils down to one of the most important functions a human being has to make : choice. Something we all have but use differently. And acheive different effects for that matter. You see before we do something or anything we need to consider the consequences and weight the pros and cons. However, many a times we love to act on impluse. Thats when we end up in the shit that we are in. Think about it.

Perpective. A thing so greatly used by many and yet left out by most. A friend once told me that perpective would help people to react in less drastic manners. If you are able to understand why someone does something in a certain way, you would be better equiped to deal with the situation. Perpective sheds light on things the way the sun shines down on this wretched earth. Well, if everyone just steps back and take a good look at what they are facing, maybe they will understand why certain people do things certain ways. And maybe things will be settled in ways that are more pleasing to both parties. Seek to understand by listening, watching and observing. Life is not always about talking or trying to get ur ideas across. "Time leads to understanding, then understanding leads to forgiveness" Take time and hold no grudges. To my great friend horny, thanks.

Time, a funny thing. At times we don't have enough of it. At times we can't wait for it to pass. All of us have the same amount of time in a day. 24 hours. No more no less. I can't rob you of yours, you can't steal mine. But, it is so funny that some people can accomplish more then others in the same amount of their time. Some say time management is important. However, i feel everyone accomplishes the same. The core of this matter is what you define accomplishment as. If sleep, play, rest and enjoyment are also seen as accomplishment along with the usual work, everyone accomplishes the same amount in a day. 24 hours of doing something is accomplished by everyone.

A fair decision. I think such a thing is a myth. The moment we are born, we are bred with preferences. Likes, dislikes all affect the way we act and choose. We are all biased to a certain extent in everything. All feelings can only be said to be opinion. Which shirt do you prefer? A question that can only be answered with preference. Even rules are also just opinion. What one man deems fair can be seen as unfair to another. Therefore, all countries have differing rules. Nothing in this world therefore can be seemed as fair. Who defines what is fair? Nobody. What is fair? Nothing. It is all just a scam to simplify things. Politicians, leaders all manipulate the system to make most people happy. By doing so they are able to gather support and keep their power.

Love is selfless. I beg to differ. It all depends how you view it. For the person you are loving, you are willing to do anything, anything at all. However, this is most of the time at the expense of others. By being selfless to one person, you are being selfish to many other people. What reason do we love? It is to bring happiness to ourselves, save ourselves from the pit of lonliness, bring light to our dark life. Are not all these reasons based on the benefit of ourselves? Is this not defined as selfishness? Long term thinking leads us to love, however it is still a selfish act in itself. Unless you love everything single thing in the universe, love can never be selfless. As Willian Blake wrote in one of his poems : "Love seeketh only Self to please, To bind another to Its delight."
